HUGS & HOPE

Hugs & Hope is about showing Gods love by walking beside women who are suffering from emotional abuse and helping them find connections to other women who can totally relate to what they are going through.  It's about encouraging them, lifting them up, strengthening their hope, faith, and willpower to keep going forward in their healing, trusting that they are never alone.

If you are going crazy trying to figure out what is wrong with your relationship, why you feel so confused, why problems never get resolved, why it feels like you are living with Jekyll & Hyde, then you too may be in an emotionally abusive/narcissistic relationship.  (Download and read more about the 8 signs of an emotionally abusive marriage below.)

It wasn't until I left my marriage of 32 years (37 years together) that I understood how toxic it had been. Besides the isolation there was the constant cycle of being loved, then ignored, criticized, insulted, antagonized, and terrorized until I finally snapped in one form or another... only for the cycle to begin again. The damage from the years of emotional abuse was severe and it has taken many years of therapy, education, self-discovery, and training to get my life back on track, and living the purpose that God has intended for me.

Emotional abuse is just as, if not more than, destructive to a person as physical abuse.  Recovering from emotional abuse is a tough journey that requires you to understand and accept what you have been through, put names to all the abusive behaviors you've been subjected to, remember the true attributes of the wonderful person you truly are, and be confident in your ability to live the life you deserve, free as your authentic self!

To help you in this recovery effort, Crazy Good will be launching a national on-line US support group starting in May 2023.  This will be a safe place for you to find education, validation, and share your experiences.  Each night we will focus on a topic and meet each in small groups to discuss how to apply the teachings and even walk away with some healing homework to put those lessons into practice.

I can't express how valuable to your healing it is to be with others who totally get what you have experienced.  It is not only incredibly validating, there is also this sense of relief, and you finally start to feel you will be able to undo the damage done by our abusers.  You can read below how some of my prior support group members felt after spending time together.

If you are interested in joining Hugs & Hope support group, please follow the link below to the meetup and request to join.  We'll contact you via the Meetup soon - Big Hugs until then!

In the meantime, if you'd like to submit a short story about an emotionally/narcissistic abusive experience you have had, please click on the BOOK tab and SPEAK YOUR TRUTH!  If enough funds are raised by the sale of this book of stories, we will be able to help other women of emotional abuse with financial support to escape their abusers, and care for themselves and their children.
